It’s back to school season, and what better way to kick it off than with a super cute apple! 🍎

  13. Begin stuffing, and continue to stuff from here to the end
  14. DEC 7, SC 1 (8)

Finish off & leave a long tail to sew the hole closed

The yarn tail will also be used to “shape” the indent at the top of the apple

Using the yarn tail, sew the opening closed

Sew the yarn tail straight through the middle of the apple, pulling it through tight enough to form the “indent shape” at the top of the apple – weave it in to secure it in place

Leaf (x1)

  • Using green yarn…
  1. CH 6, starting in the 2nd chain from the hook:
    • SS 1, SC 1, HDC 1, SC 1, SS 1
  • Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing

  • Using brown yarn…
  1. Ch 4
  • Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing

Now it’s time to assemble the pieces together!

  • Sew the leaf to the top center of the apple
  • Sew the stem to the top center of the apple using the tail on one side of the chain – weave in the tail on the other side of the stem through the chain and into the main apple body
  • Cut out two small circles in pink felt, then attach them just under the eyes using hot glue

And now your Kawaii Apple is finished! I hope you enjoy this free pattern, and if you make one please share it with me! (On my Facebook page, this blog, or my Instagram @tokyodragon.crochet)
