Pokeball Pattern

Do you want to be the very best, like no one ever was? If you answered yes (and especially if I just made the theme song get stuck in your head), then these pokeballs are for you!

Pokeball Pattern

Materials:

  • Red, black, and white yarn
  • Black and white felt
  • Hot glue gun
  • Stuffing (polyfil)
  • Hook size – I use a G hook here, but you can use any size hook

Abbreviations:

  • MC = magic circle
  • Sc = single crochet
  • Inc = increase
  • Dec = decrease
  • Sl = slip stitch
  • * = repeat around

Pokeball:

  • Starting with red yarn…
    • R1: sc 8 in MC (8)
    • R2: inc * (16)
    • R3: sc 1, inc * (24)
    • R4: sc * (24)
    • R5: sc * (24)
    • R6: sc * (24)
  • Switch color to black yarn…
    • R7: sc * (24)
  • Switch color to white yarn…
    • R8: sc * (24)
    • R9: sc * (24)
    • R10: sc * (24)
    • R11: sc 1, dec * (16)
    • Stuff the pokeball!
    • R12: dec * (8)
  • Finish off with a sl stitch – leave a tail to sew the opening closed

Details:

  • Cut one large circle out of black felt, one medium circle out of white felt, and one small circle out of white felt
  • Hot glue them together, then hot glue to the pokeball
  • If your color change isn’t as perfect as you’d like it to be, you can use the felt details to cover it 😉
