Here is the free pattern for a cute Summer Pineapple!

I know I’ve been neglecting my blog here a little bit, but I do plan to add a lot more patterns and posts here, so stay tuned!


Summer Pineapple

Materials

  • Yellow yarn
  • Green yarn
  • Crochet hook (size G / 4.5)
  • 2 8mm safety eyes
  • Stuffing
  • Small amount of black yarn to embroider the mouth
  • Pink felt for blush

Abbreviations

*US crochet terms

  • MC = magic circle
  • SC = single crochet
  • HDC = half double crochet
  • DC = double crochet
  • INC = increase
  • DC = decrease
  • SL = slip stitch
  • CH = chain
  • * = repeat around

Body

  • Using yellow yarn…
    • SC 8 in MC (8)
    • INC * (16)
    • SC 1, INC * (24)
    • SC * (24)
    • SC * (24)
    • SC * (24)
    • SC * (24)
    • SC * (24)
    • SC * (24)
    • SC * (24)
    • SC * (24)
    • SC * (24)
  • Insert 8mm eyes between rounds 7 and 8, about 4-5 stitches apart
  • Sew the mouth
  • Begin stuffing and continue stuffing through the end
    • SC 1, DEC * (16)
    • DEC * (8)
  • Finish off

Cut out two small circles in pink felt and attach to the pineapple just under the eyes with hot glue.

Leaves (make 3)

  • Using green…
    • CH 8
    • In the second chain from hook, SL 1, SC 1, HDC 1, DC 1, HDC 1, SC 1, SL 1
  • Finish off

Sew the 3 leaves to the top of the pineapple.


And now your Summer Pineapple is complete! ☀️🍍
